At the heart of our solar system, the sun has been the primary source of light, heat, energy and generator of life since time as
we know it began. It is responsible for the seasons, and the cycle of day and night. Without it the Earth would be a cold, dark, planet drifting aimlessly in the cosmos.
Thanks to advancements in photovoltaic technology and solar generated electricity, it is now easier and more cost effective
than ever to harness the power of the sun and reduce our reliance on traditional sources of electricity and in some cases also the power grid itself.
A new approach to power and light
The first utility grid was born out of a desire to bring light into the darkness and eliminate our reliance on the sun for vision. So there is something quite poetic about the possibility of a solar light system harnessing the energy of the sun, converting the solar radiation to electricity and storing it in batteries, to later power artificial lighting and in turn allow us once again to see during the night.
