Among many solar photovoltaic panels, the common and practical ones are monocrystalline silicon solar photovoltaic panels, polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic panels, and amorphous silicon photovoltaic panels. In low-latitude areas with sufficient sunlight and good sunlight conditions, the use of polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic panels can effectively reduce costs. There are four main options for solar floodlight batteries currently in the market: lead-acid batteries, gel batteries, ternary lithium batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries.
1. Lead-acid battery: The electrode of lead-acid battery is composed of lead and lead metal oxide, and the electrolyte is sulfuric acid solution. The key advantages of lead-acid batteries are relatively stable working voltage, low price and high safety factor. The disadvantage is that lead-acid batteries have a relatively short life and large volume, which can cause environmental pollution. However, due to its cost advantage, it still occupies an important position in the solar lamp manufacturing industry.
2. Gel battery: It is an upgraded version of lead-acid battery, no maintenance and less maintenance. Compared with lead-acid batteries, it replaces sulfuric acid electrolyte with colloidal electrolyte, which gradually improves its storage capacity, charge-discharge capacity, safety factor and service life. In addition, the entire temperature range of the gel battery is wide, and it can be used in the temperature range of -40¡ãC-65¡ãC. The ultra-low temperature characteristics are better. Therefore, the gel battery is the best choice for high-latitude cold regions or low-dimensional tropical regions. The performance is also very good and can be safely applied to various extreme standards.
3. Ternary lithium battery: The ternary lithium battery has many advantages, high specific performance, small size, fast charging, and high price. Its deep cycle is about 500-800 cycles, its service life is similar to that of gel batteries, and its application temperature range is -15¡ãC -45¡ãC. However, ternary lithium-ion batteries also have disadvantages and have a poor safety factor. If the internal battery is unstable, or the manufacturer of the ternary lithium-ion battery is only shut down, it is likely to explode under overcharge or high-temperature natural environments.
4. Lithium iron phosphate battery: high specific energy, small size, fast battery charging, long life, and good reliability. It is widely used in the field of power batteries, such as electric buses. But its price is the highest among all rechargeable batteries.
